She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lundy Chester and Nina Gladys Smith Chester; her husband Ellis Martin, Jr.; her daughters, Gwen Kincaid and Judy Brown; her brothers, Willie "Buddy" Chester, J. B. Chester and Bobby Chester; and her son-in-law Lewis Hargrove.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald Martin (Sharon), Wanda Hood, Nancy Hargrove Moss (Norman), Susan Warren (William) and Jorgi Peach (Larry); her son-in-law Roy Brown; and her close friend Fay Bowen. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; forty-one great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Fund or American Cancer Society.
