She was predeceased by: her sister Bright Brown Mellor; her parents, William Terry Brown and Ana Rel Johnston Brown; her husband Ernest H. Mellor, Jr.; and her siblings, William Terry Brown, Jr. and Dicksie Johnston Cribb.

She is survived by: her former husband Ed Somerville; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Nelson and Ernest H. Mellor, III (Ernie); her children, Lalla Mellor Colmer (John), Anne Mellor Emery (Greg), Elizabeth Mellor Leppert (Joe) and Ernest "Ernie" Herbert Mellor, III (Lynn); and her granddaughter Mary Glenn Mellor.
