He was predeceased by: his father Edwin Lee Carpenter; and his sister Vickie Susan Cox. He is survived by: his mother Marian Collier Carpenter; his sister Marsha York (Jim) of Cane Ridge, TN; his nephews, Tyler Cox (Sondra) and Mike York; his niece Annie York; his great-niece Mallorie Ann Cox; and his great-nephew Mason Fisher Cox.
