She was predeceased by: her parents, James Whitley and Velma Foote Whitley; her husband Larry Alexander Johnson; her siblings, James Whitley, Jr., Harold Whitley, Jean Pagel, Jane Arnold and Robert "Bobby" Whitley; and her nephew Michael Eugene Whitley.
She is survived by: her brother Eugene Whitley (Ann); her nephews, Jeff Whitley (Sharon) and Andy Whitley (Melanie); her great-nephews, John Michael Whitley and Andrew Whitley; and her close friends, Johnnie Nowlin, Elaine Booker, Glenda Glasco and Debbie Collins.
