He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmie Hudson Haney and Marzee Sudberry Haney; his wife Ann Johnson Huckaby Haney; and his brother Tom Haney of Columbia. He is survived by: his stepsons, Charles and Clifton Huckaby; and his brother Virgil Haney. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
