He was predeceased by: his parents, James Frank Kennedy, Sr. and Alberta Kinzer Kennedy of Virginia; and his siblings, Frances Kennedy Brown, Buddy Kennedy, Billy Kennedy, Kenneth Kennedy and Wayne Kennedy.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Black Kennedy of Columbia; his daughters, Deidre Kennedy of Columbia and Anna Kennedy O'Connor of Nashville; his grandson Rogan O'Connor of Nashville; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Brown of Franklin and Sherrie Kennedy of Columbia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
