It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jennie Mae Young of Columbia, Tennessee, who passed away on October 18, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Campbell and Hattie Shaw Campbell; her son Joe Gilbert Young; and her siblings, Thomas Campbell, James Polk Campbell, Martha Morris and Blanche Campbell.
She is survived by: her children, Lena Mae Lane of Columbia, Georgia Ann Hardin of Romulus, MI and Rickey Campbell of Columbia; her grandchildren, Vivian Hardin, Kim Hardin, Lisa Hardin and Travis Hardin (Sharkea); her great grandchildren, James Shepherd, Quinton Hardin, Jalynn Echols, Javontay Hardin and Nia Hardin; her great great grandchildren, Samiah Shepherd and Amaya Hardin; her niece Gerri Morris; her nephews, Donald Morris and Rev. Kenny Anderson; her close friends, Mary Horton, Rebecca Crosby, Mae Cooper and Aleatha Lawshea; and also, Marilyn Coffey, Helen Thompson and Mike Sharpton. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
