He was predeceased by: his brother Charles Thomas; and his son Daniel Warren Thomas (Allison Jones). He is survived by: his wife Myra Lee Morrow Thomas; and his children, Robert of Tulsa, Michael (Emma) of Nashville, Rachel (Logan Prentice) of Columbia, Elizabeth of Nashville, Andrew, Luke, Caleb, John Allen (Hannah), Nathan and Matthew.

Memorials may be made to the Daniel Thomas scholarship fund at Columbia Academy.
