He is survived by: his wife Ellen Johnson; and his children, Venus Boston (Rodney) of Nashville, Rolanda D. Perkins of Smyrna, James W. Perkins, Jr. (Maggie) of Murfreesboro, Michael Johnson of Far Rock, Queens and MaShawn Johnson. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren & nieces and nephews.
