He was predeceased by: his parents, James Franklin Edlin and Mary Ruth Edlin; his former wife Hazel Louise Veazey (Celina Brian Edlin); and his siblings, Gordon Edlin, Robert Edlin, Lewis Edlin, Lonnie Edlin, Pauline Pike, Christine Robertson, Della Mae Clemons and Martha Slack.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Michael Burnett (Fay) of Shepherdsville, KY, Angelina Black (Allen) of Louisville, KY, Belinda Ballard (Charlie) of White House, TN, James Daniel Edlin (Cheryl) of Columbia, TN, Jeanne Hardwick (Rick) of White House, TN and David Edlin of Mt. Pleasant, TN; and his grandchildren, William Burnett, Patrick Burnett (Tammy), Robert Michael Burnett, Jr. (Elizabeth), Damian Michael Cole (Tonia), Dana Michelle Portman (Dean), Deana Marie Hardin (James), Lori Alguire (Mike), Shannon Holley (Tim), Josh Edlin, Becky Western (Ken), Amanda Skelley (Joel), Kirk Hardwick (Christie), Amy Jo Bowlds (Adam), Chanz Edlin (Melanie) and Mason Edlin. He is also survived by twenty-six great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.
