He was predeceased by: his parents, Hershel Vandiver and Elsie Rebecca Neeley Vandiver; his son Leslie Dale Vandiver; and his brother William Bill Vandiver. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Street Vandiver of Columbia; his children, Donald "Donnie" Vandiver, Jr. of Columbia and Kim Neal (Chris) of Spring Hill; his grandchildren, Taylor Neal (Tyler Brown) of Spring Hill, Erin Davenport (Bailey) of Spring Hill, John Logan Neal (Lakelin Prentice) of Martin and Ambriele Lynn Vandiver (Austin Neal) of Lebanon; his great grandchildren, Lillian Clare Neal and Baker Timothy Davenport; and his nieces, Kathy Vandiver of Bethpage and Lisa Roberts (Joel) of Williamsport.
