He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas Long and Ethel Vanhooser Long; his wife Emily Wilburn; and his siblings, Thelma Cron, Gelene Long, Frances Hill, Thomas Long, Joseph Long and Robert Long.
He is survived by: his brother Van Long of San Antonio, Florida; his nephew Robert Long, Jr. of Bartlett, TN; and his nieces, Belinda Moore of San Antonio, Laurie Long of Nashville and Karen Sturm of Nashville.
