He was predeceased by: his parents, Hal B. Cathey and Nell Goodman; his wife MaryJane Cathey; and his grandson Chase Logan Cathey. He is survived by: his son Allen Hyle Cathey (Tennille Jeannette Cathey); his siblings, Mumford Frank Cathey (Wanda Gail Blocker) and Shirley Cathey Boshers (Randy Boshers); his brother-in-law Robert Blaine Hyle II; and his aunt Tennie Chaffin. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family suggest memorials be made to The Dementia Society of America.
