She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren "Stumpy" Wallace and Nellie B. White Garrett; her daughter Mary Antionette Carter; and her sisters, Georgia Richardson, Kathy White, Cynthia Garrett, Mary Alice Wallace, Sharon Lavon Stennis and LaTanya T. Wallace.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Carter (Jennine Elliott) and Raven Carter Evans; her siblings, Samuel White (Ella), Bruce Garrett (LaShunda), Willie Joe "Smokey" White, Warren Wallace, Harry Tiran Wallace (Willie), Sonja Yvette McCall (Ronald), Michelle Regina McKiney (Anthony), Linda Faye Wallace and Deborah Richardson (Earl); her grandchildren, Imani Carter, Tyler Carter (Macy), Azariah Carter, Robert Carter, IV, Gabrielle Carter, Robert Evans, IV, King Evans and DeAndera Evans; and her great grandchild Grayson Carter.
