She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Johnson Petty and Christine Gibson Petty; and her husband Douglas MacArther Owens. She is survived by: her daughters, Tara Gibson (James) of Columbia and Andrea Polk (Gabe) of Columbia; her granddaughter Lily Polk; and her brother Larry Petty (Sue). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
