He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Halmer Hickman and Fern Hodges Hickman; and his brother Blaik Hickman. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Ytzen Hickman of Columbia; his children, Amy Pruitt (Brian) of Brooklyn, Sarah Farrell (Patrick) of Memphis, Andrew Hickman (Blair) of Columbia and Daniel Hickman (Grace) of Toms River; his grandchildren, Samuel Pruitt, Charles Pruitt, Stella Pruitt, Mary Hayes Pruitt, Parkes Hickman, Kodak Hickman and Enoch Hickman; and his sister-in-law Phyllis May (Gary). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
