He was predeceased by: his brother James Bale; and his son Barkley C. Bale. He is survived by: his wife Hazel Mae Weatheby; his sons, Frank G. Bale (Janet) of Knoxville and Jeffery C. Bale (Kathy) of Louisville, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Dr. Ben Bale (Kaylie Snyder), Jenna Head (Tyler), Justin Bale (Megan) and Kyle Bale; his great grandchild Sawyer June Head; and his brother Don Bale (Mary).
