She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Hughes and Lela Ivey Hughes; her husband Ross A. Whitley, Jr.; and her siblings, David, Eugene of William, J. P., Clifton Hughes and Aileen McMeen.
She is survived by: her son Rick Whitley (Hope); and her grandsons, Zachary Ross Whitley and Adam Richard Whitley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
