He was predeceased by: his parents, Elton Maxwell Ragsdale Sr. (Mack) and Uvella Sutton; his son Officer Alan Ragsdale of Hohenwald; the mother of his children Gladys Wright Ragsdale Hinson; and his siblings, Margaret Norman, Ruby McGaw, Minnie Ragsdale and Johnny Ragsdale.
He is survived by: his children, Alisa Ragsdale Adams, Elton Ragsdale III (Virginia), Jeffery Ragsdale Sr. (Martha) and Eddie Lee Hinson; his siblings, Williams Ragsdale (Frances), Judy R Wyatt and Barbara Holder; his grandchildren, Travis Adams (Holly), Jeremiah Ragsdale, Katherine Ragsdale, Krystin Ragsdale, Jeffery Keith Ragsdale Jr., Brian Ragsdale (Bekah) and Aren Ragsdale; and his great grandchild Junior.
