He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Pelayo and Evangelina Michel Pelayo; and his son Martin Pelayo. He is survived by: his wife Adelaida Gomez De Pelayo; and his children, Jackie Ramirez of Columbia, Maria Acosta of Columbia, Irma Chavez of California and Jose Pelayo of California.
