He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Holt and Mary Holt; his wife Joyce Porter Holt; his son Charles Edward Holt; his sister Louise Smith; and his brothers-in-law, Silas Smith, Jerry Jones and Buford Hargrove.
He is survived by: his daughter Yvonne Prentice (Donny); his sisters, Helen Marlin (Herbert), Betty Jones, Jean Hargrove and Lorene Peach (Terry); his granddaughter Michelle Crosslin; his cousin Curly Holt; and his pet Willow. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
