He was predeceased by: his mother Gladys Langston Alderson; his brother John Rowe Alderson; and his stepdaughter Megan Spivey. He is survived by: his wife Regina Smith Alderson of Columbia; his daughter Jill Alderson Baker of Columbia; his stepdaughter Erin Shouse of Santa Fe; his grandson Landon Baker; his niece Bailey Alderson Long; his nephew Nathan Alderson; and his stepchildren, Sherri Naddy (Gibran) of Columbia and Bryan Story. He is also survived by five step-grandchildren.
