He was predeceased by: his parents, William Mayo Hardee and Attie Arjane Cox Hardee; his wife Jayne Annette Carroll Hardee; and his siblings, John Watis Hardee, Avery Hardee, Shelton Hardee, Iris Sarvis, Elga Russ, William Joyce Hardee, Mary Fipps, Leatis Smith and Vela Wood.
He is survived by: his son Dale (Debbie); his grandson Tyler; his daughter-in-law Debbie Hardee of Columbia, TN; his grandchildren, Christian Tyler Hardee of Nashville, TN and Allison Brooke Hardee of Nashville, TN; and his sisters, Carolyn Edwards of Rock Hill, SC and Doris Piver of Loris, SC..
