He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Poynor and Mattie Sudberry Poynor. He is survived by: his wife Judy Choate Poynor of Theta; his children, Joanna Chandler (Roger), Shannon Poynor (Lisa), Cheryl Bowers, Regina Poynor and Kelvin Poynor; and his grandchildren, Keifer Bowers, Shane Bowers, Katelyn Poynor and David Poynor. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
