He was predeceased by: his sister Debbie Baker; his grandparents, Hubert and Maggie Sue Baker; and his parents-in-law, Victor and June Middleton.

He is survived by: his wife Laura Middleton Baker; his parents, R. Cecil Baker and J. Marilyn Baker; his children, David Curtis Baker (Victoria) of Columbia, Sarah Peterson (Tim) of California, Alyssa Robinson (Cody) of Hampshire, Jonathan Baker (Keliah) of Columbia, Mark Baker (Lauren) of Franklin, Darick Baker of Columbia, Grant Baker of Columbia, Laurissa Baker of Columbia, Cameron Baker of Columbia, Janessa Baker of Columbia and Carson Baker of Columbia; his siblings, Donna Shattuck (Jim) of Des Moines, Daniel Baker (Maria) of Iowa and Darrell Baker of Columbia; and his grandchildren, David Clayton Baker, Jessalynn Peterson, Emmalynn Peterson, Brennon Peterson, Brody Peterson, Easton Peterson, Hudson Peterson, Jaxson Peterson, Raelyn Baker, Brantley Baker and Logan Baker.
