He is survived by: his mother Betty Ruth Bates; his sisters, Deborah Skillington (Terry) and Rebecca Vernon; his niece Sarah Hann (Travis); his nephews, James Skillington and Jeffrey Vernon; his great-nephews, Josh Hann and Jacob Hann; and his former wife Ruth Lamar.
