He is survived by: his wife Patricia Cunningham Batey; his children, Dan Batey (Anne) of Williamsport and Twila Batey Williams of Spring Hill; his sister Katie Tramel of Nashville; and his grandchildren, Drew Pogue of Kettering, Patrick Pogue (Brie) of Murfreesboro, Jill Poteete (Robert) of Spring Hill, Ashley Sellers (Cody) of Columbia, Laura Batey of New York, N. Y. and Will Batey of Knoxville. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
