He is survived by: his wife Linda Carol Edwards Morton; his children, Charles E. Morton IV, Carol Boyd (David), Christy Payne (Jim) and Cheryl Weatherford (Sean); his siblings, Benny Morton (Brenda) and Nancy Bassett (Michael); and his sister-in-law Linda Williams Morton. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
