It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Joe Thompson of Columbia, Tennessee, who passed away on October 28, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Thompson and Josephine Shaw Thompson; his son-in-law Gary Nicholson; his grandchildren, Ke'Lando Starnes and DeMarcus Thompson; and his brothers, Calvin Thompson and James Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Shatounga Patterson (Bryant), Treavangula Nicholson, Kerry Thompson, Felicia Thompson (Christopher Young) and Cathy Pryor (Anthony); and his sister Bobbie Thompson. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren.
