It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Sue McCaleb O'Connor of Columbia, Tennessee, born in Hickman, Tennessee, who passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon McCaleb and Thelma Lovell McCaleb; her husband Maurice Adam O'Connor; and her siblings, Lester McCaleb and Naomi Gordon.
She is survived by: her sons, Garry O'Connor (Lisa) of Nashville, Randy O'Connor of Franklin and Dwade O'Connor of Palm Springs, California; her grandchildren, Thomas O'Connor, Grant O'Connor, Chance O'Connor, Jillian O'Connor (Jack Fitzgerald) and Molly O'Connor; her great grandchild Riley O'Connor; her sisters-in-law, Patsy Redmond, Karan Lyons and Ruth O'Connor; her close friends, Connie and Terry Heflen; and her caregivers, Lori Anderson and Cathy Odom. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home (320 W 7th St, Columbia, TN 38401). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
