It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bettie Jean Buckner Pogue (Columbia, Tennessee), born in Columbus, Georgia, who passed away on September 14, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Buckner and Verona Buckner; her daughter Melanie Pogue Semore; her brother AJ Buckner; and her siblings-in-law, Judith Pogue King, Bettie Buckner, Art Oggenfuss and Wayne White.

She is survived by: her children, Kit Pogue (Cyndi) of Cookeville, Andy Pogue (Lisa) of Columbia, Robert Pogue (Sherry) of Columbia and Rebecca Galloway (Joe) of Memphis; her grandchildren, Drew Pogue (Joy), Patrick Pogue (Brie), Kittrell Pogue, Cannon Pogue (Abbie), Steven Pogue (Nicole), Will Pogue, Susan Pogue Winchester (Austin), Emma Galloway Jansen (Michael) and Kate Galloway Rikard (Sam); her great grandchildren, Greyson Pogue, Madison Pogue, Arthur Pogue, Melanie Rikard and Shiloh Winchester; her son-in-law Michael Semore; her sister Barbara Oggenfuss of Delaware; and her siblings-in-law, Carnice White and Porter King. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
