She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleveland Andrew Slaughter and Alline M. Haywood Slaughter; and her sisters, Carolyn Slaughter and Faye Woodard. She is survived by: her husband Dewayne Hayes; her son Shane Roland (Amanda Shepherd) of Columbia; her stepdaughter Jennifer Hayes of Columbia; her siblings, Jerry Slaughter (Debbie) of Mt. Pleasant, Kathy Allen (Steve) of Mt. Pleasant, Betty Mayberry (Johnny) of Mt. Pleasant and Ann Stanfill (Ronnie) of Mt. Pleasant; and her grandchildren, Mallory, Jake Roland, Lucas, Brantley Jackson, Lexi and Logan Stanfill. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
