He was predeceased by: his parents, James Richard Blocker and Faye Carroll Blocker; and his wife Darleina Kay Blocker. He is survived by: his daughters, Virginia Kay Blocker Jones (Josh) of Hattiesburg, MS and Miranda Blocker Franks (Nate) of Columbia; his stepdaughter Heather Abdon McKnight (Michael) of Columbia; his siblings, Linda Blocker Dunn of Columbia and Richard "Pete" Blocker, Jr. of Columbia; his grandchildren, Kaylee Jones (Corey Beavers), Tyler Jones, Russell Thompson (Elizabeth Riley), Riley Thompson, Reagan Harmon and Ryan Harmon; his great grandchild Raelynn Thompson; his stepgrandchildren, Mikey Abdon and Bella McKnight; his aunt Norma Kelley; and his cousins, Gail Cathey and Mary Ann Dotson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home (320 W 7th St, Columbia, TN 38401). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
