He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Carmack Howell, Sr. and Nancy Helen Little Howell; and his wife Judith Gillespie Howell. He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Howell Carney of Memphis and Mary Mahoney (Jeff) of Nashville; his grandchildren, Michael Mahoney, William Mahoney of Nashville, Mary Claire Carney and Catherine Carney of Memphis; and his brother Greg Howell (Therese) of Franklin.
