With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Novella Hazel Cook (Collinwood, Tennessee), born in Cypress Inn, Tennessee, who passed away on September 30, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tommy Henry and Josephine Burks Simmons; and her husband Oddo Cook. She is survived by: her daughters, Rebecca Diane Overstreet of Nashville, TN and Susan Ann Calton of Madison, AL; her son-in-law Ebb Robertson of Collinwood, TN; her sister Ivadean Bryant of Iron City, TN; her grandchildren, Selena Robertson, Tina Overstreet, Emily Robertson and Benjamin Trull; her great grandchildren, Myles Butler and Esther Kay Trull; her daughters, Janet Kay Trull and Doris Faye Robertson; her siblings, Hubert Simmons, Buford Simmons, Floyd Simmons, Tommy Lee Simmons, Doil Simmons, Velma Pickard, Ida Burns, Lilah Lee, Ethel Woodard and Beulah Daniel; and her granddaughter Janet Brooke Robertson.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the National Heart Association or Saint Jude Childrens Hospital.
