He was predeceased by: his parents, Lelon Carpenter and Glenice Carpenter; his daughter Teresa Grisham; and his brothers, Cecil Carpenter and Donald Carpenter.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Carpenter of Lutts, TN; his son Ronnie Carpenter (Sherry) of Birmingham, AL; his sisters, Rita White (Ricky) of Florence, AL and Sherlene Keil of Madison, AL; his grandchildren, Bo Smith, Andy Smith, Zack Smith, Jana Risner (Wes) and BJ Carpenter (Kailey); his great grandchildren, Braysen Carpenter, Carley Jo Carpenter, Bryce Risner, Seth Risner and Maddie Grace Risner; his nieces and nephews, Jenny, Gracy, Hannah, Wayne, Harley, Alli, Saban, Ashley, Bentley, Grady and Heather; his mother-in-law Mary Evelyn Copeland; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Copeland, Larry Copeland (Sherry) and Lisa Holt (Keith).
