It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Bennett Wyrick of Collinwood, Tennessee, born in Bishop, Virginia, who passed away on November 10, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil James and Ethel Elaine Scott Wyrick; his wife Peggy Ann Jones; his son Gary Bent Wyrick; and his siblings, Norma Jean Wyrick-Leach and Charles "Eddie" Edward Wyrick.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Bennett (Andy) of Waynesboro, TN, David Wyrick (Lasonya) of Meridan, MS and Jerry Dale Wyrick of Collinwood, TN; his siblings, Marjorie Lois Wyrick Crider (Carl) and James "Jimmy" Darrell Wyrick; his grandchildren, Kelly Minor and Patricia Cheyanne Wyrick; his great grandchild Hayleighana Minor; and his nieces and nephews, Gail Horton (Jerry), Randy Chambers (Peggy), Rusty Chambers (Jenny) and Donna Jean Askey.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors (993 TN-13, Collinwood, TN 38450). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at the Memorial Gardens of Wayne County - Collinwood (993 TN-13, Collinwood, TN 38450).
