He was predeceased by: his wife Wilma Gibbs; his sons, William Douglas Gibbs, Jr. and Patrick Edward Gibbs; and his sister Suzanne Burks. He is survived by: his children, Grant Gibbs (Melissa) and Julia Sellers (Steve); his brothers, Don Gibbs (Becky) and John Gibbs (Brownie); and his grandchildren, Joshua Sellers, Blair Sellers, Christian Jackson (Garrett), Jake Gibbs and Faith Gibbs.
