He is survived by: his daughters, Marcia Schmertmann (Gary) of Sydney, Karin Starnes (Kevin) of Collierville, Sandy Walston (Steven) of Collierville and Kristin Ruland of Collierville; his grandchildren, Thea, Noah, Cora, Tommy and Josh; and his siblings, John Ruland (Patricia) and Carole Ruland M. H. S..
