Neva Sue Poynter Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Neva Sue Poynter of Collierville, Tennessee, who passed away on January 2, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Smithson and Mae Vanhoose Smithson; her husband Cecil Poynter; and her sister Lou McMinn. She is survived by: her children, Brenda Davis, Phyllis Owens (John), Sharon Lovejoy (Bill) and Denton Poynter; her grandchildren, Michael Davis, Lori Karrer, Amber Merritt and Kyndal Chamberlain; and her brother Dean Smithson. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers gifts in memory of Mrs. Poynter may be offered to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association.
