She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Ruth Freeman; her husband Ronald Lee Blackard; her sons, Ronald Lee Blackard and David Wesley Blackard (Christy); her grandchildren, Candice Blackard Ammons (Seth) of Shelby County, Tennessee., Andrew Wesley Blackard (Josselyne) of Shelby County, Tennessee. and Marie Elana Blackard of Shelby County, Tennessee.; her siblings, Jimmy Freeman (Lois) of Martin, Peggy Eakes (late Bubba Eakes) of Germantown and Charles Leslie Freeman (Linda) of Greensboro; and her sister-in-law Ginger Pope (Jerry) of Asheville. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews round out the extended family.

She was a special lady, a sweet Christian and was a Class Mate and friend of mine for 3 years at Methodist Hospital School of Nursing. We kept in touch but not as closely as we should have, so didn't know what caused her death. Just know you will be in my prayers, because I know how hard it is to lose a Mom. Gail Wood Campbell.
