She was predeceased by: her stepson Jason Browning Highsmith; and her siblings, Nancy Jean Burk and Kenneth Steve Burk. She is survived by: her husband Wesley Highsmith; her son Steven Reeves (Heather); her stepdaughter Nicole Gaulden (Matthew); her grandson Bryce Owen Reeves; and her sister Judy Fay Murchison.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Collierville Animal Shelter.
