She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Joyner and Clara High Joyner; her husband Joseph "JC" Gilmer; and her children, Janice Merk and Larry Gilmer.
She is survived by: her children, Marcia Hall (Shawn) and Michael Gilmer (Denese); and her siblings, Mittie Evie Halfacre and Paul Joyner (Edith). She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
