She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Howard and Sophia Smith Whitehorn. She is survived by: her spouse J. W. Dodson of Columbus; her children, Melba Justice (Mike) of Maryland, Steve Blair of Collierville and Nancy Glover (Steve) of Cordova, Tennessee.; and her sisters, Dot Trimm of Collierville and Lovie Johnson of Elberta, Alabama.. She is also survived by five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
