He was predeceased by: his parents, Coadie Johnson and Mary Johnson; his wife Mary Ann Johnson; and his brother Rev. Don Johnson. He is survived by: his daughters, Jeanne Newsom (Charles) of Germantown and Cindy Knox (David) of Germantown; his brother Ron Johnson (Bonnie) of Bartlett; his sister-in-law Cheryl Johnson of Memphis, Tennessee.; his grandchildren, Chad Newsom (Natalie), David Newsom (Morgan), Jonathan Knox (Abby), Mary Kathryn Anderton (Luke) and Andrew Knox; and his great grandchildren, Cooper Newsom, Sawyer Newsom and Emilia Anderton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Gideons International or Life Choices of Memphis.
