It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laverne Clayton of Collierville, Tennessee, who passed away on March 3, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Marcus and Sarah Belle Shearin; her husband John Clayton; and her sisters, Mildred S. Cossar and Evelyn S. Coleman.
She is survived by: her children, G. Daryl Weathers (Brent) of Etta, MS, Melissa W. Kinard (Russell) of Henderson, TN and A. Marcus Weathers (Regina) of New Albany, MS; her grandchildren, Baylor, Brooklyn Weathers of Etta, MS, Jarrod Kinard, Rachel Kinard of Henderson, TN, Madison K. Hensley (Nick) of Miami, FL, Paige Treadaway (Joe) of New Albany, MS, Laken Hall (Easton) of New Albany, MS, Chance Weathers (Riley) of New Albany, MS, Stormy Weathers of New Albany, MS, Tristan Weathers of New Albany, MS, Courtney, Brittany Guin of New Albany, MS and Jacob Guin (Sarah) of Mantachie, MS; her great grandchildren, Sawyer, Silas Treadaway, Swayze, Rigley, Posey Hall, Shay, Shire Hensley and Riddley Guin; and her sister Peggy S. Garner.
