He was predeceased by: his parents, Harmon Long and Cynthia Bozarth Long; his wife Mary Long; and his siblings, Katherine Hayden, Hortense Aull, Juanita Nutt and Harmon.
He is survived by: his children, Martha Deckard (Gary), Cynthia Long, Janice Myrick (Ken), Rebecca Peterson (Mike), Thomas Long, David Long (Patty) and Barbara Long. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hilldale Methodist Church (750 Hilldale Rd, Lewisport, KY 42351). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
