He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Flaherty and Fran Flaherty; and his brother Pat Flaherty. He is survived by: his wife Susan Mitteer Flaherty; his sons, Matt Flaherty of Chicago, Illinois, Greg Budzak of Seattle, Washington, Scott Budzak (Kristin) of Germantown, Tennessee and Jason Budzak (Lauren) of Germantown, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Abby Crane, Reed, Jameson, Nolan and Jordan; and his sisters, Mary Blair of Champaigne, Illinois and Nancy Lubrea of Bartlett, Illinois..
