He was predeceased by: his father Arthur Dennie; and his sister Audrey Mae Stephens. He is survived by: his wife Miladeen Dennie; his daughters, Cheryl Jon Wood, Nikki Mitchell (Michael) and Deena Abeysekera (Neomal); his grandchildren, Kellie Dood (Jim), John Mitchell (Emily), Chelsea Olea (Alex) and Kyle Wood (Bim); his great grandchildren, Thomas John Mitchell and Jax Dood; and his brother James Otto Dennie (Virginia).

Memorials may be made to the Collierville First Baptist Church Building Fund or to the Memphis Union Mission.
