He is survived by: his wife Maryellen Henderson Barnett; his sons, John Burl Barnett, III (Stephanie), Gregory Wade Barnett (Margaret) and Billy Don Barnett (Amy Jo); his siblings, Barbara Ann Whitmire, Billy Kenneth Barnett and Bobby Joe Barnett; and his grandchildren, Natalie Truelove, Justin Barnett, William John Barnett, Meagan Cook, Mia McLain Barnett, Madison Cedars, Gregory Wade Barnett, Jr. and Shanda South. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
